Komissarov Ivan, 1929

Famous Russian Soviet painter Ivan Komissarov was born in 1929 in Saratov region.

In 1944-1948 studied in Penza Art School, his teacher was Goryushkin-Sorokopudov. Member of the Union of Artists of USSR since 1964. Honored artist of Russian Federation since 1976. In 1950-1960s worked in the style of soviet impressionism. In later years he brightly represents Vladimir art school technique.

Regular participant of republic and All-Union Art exhibitions. Also member of exhibitions represented Soviet art in Finland, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Italy, the UK, the USA, Canada, Lebanon, Venezuela, Singapore, Japan. Author counts dozen of personal exhibitions in Moscow (since 1990), in Saint-Petersburg (1991), Seoul (1993).

Artworks of Ivan Komissarov are in Art Museums of Krasnodar, Samara, Tver, Novosibirsk, Yakutsk, in the embassy of Russia in Washington, in Aeroflot office in Switzerland, in the collection of Gekkoso Gallery in Japan, in Madzolini Gallery in Italy, in Duresan Art Gallery in England, in the Gallery of Modern Art in Sophia, Bulgaria, in the Hans Art Gallery in Venezuela, in Okan Art Gallery in Turkey, in Union Art Gallery in Seoul and in more than 40 private collections all around the globe.
