Bogorodsky Fedor was born in Nizhny Novgorod in 1895 in the family of a lawyer. After arriving to Moscow he entered the Department of law in the University (1914)

The same time he worked in an avant-garde theatre of N.M.Foregger till 1924. Bogorodsky was a teacher in All-Union Institute of cinema (1938-1959).
